This weekend saw the launch of PhLUG’s Abrickadabra 2017 which featured MOCs and dioramas from a whole range of themes.
It was held at the Promenade Mall in Greenhills, Manila on the 27th of May which lasted only one day.
I attended the first Abrickadabra back in 2015 and was instantly impressed with the level of MOC-ing from the LEGO Fans in Philippines.
The event attracted close to a 100 exhibitors and approximated 150 individual builds. PhLUG has subgroups called “sigs” and this time, the groups were out in full force.
Sub-groups like Mechas, Sci-fi, Kingdoms, Urban Landscapes, Vehicles, Star Wars and Superheroes were all represented by massive displays.
There was also a section dedicated to some of the Classic sets to take you down memory lane like the Classic space sets and even ones from Belleville.
I can’t wait for their next event and hopefully it will be for a bit longer so that we can check it out for ourselves!
(Special thanks to Pascual Amatong, Richard Camelo K. Base, The Curious Daddy, Jan Michael Ipapo for the photos!)
