To commemorate the christening of Dream Cruise’s latest vessel, LEGO Certified Professional Andy Hung was commissioned to build a minifigure scale model of the same ship.
Measuring a whopping 8.44m long and 1.53m tall, this will be inscribed into the Guinness Book of World records as the largest ship ever constructed completely out of LEGO bricks.
Yes, I’m aware of the other LEGO ship that holds the title but that model has a metal frame support within so it falls into a different category.
It took Andy and his team three whole months to build and the LEGO replica consists of a staggering 2.5 million bricks to complete which features a waterslide park, outdoor swimming pool, basketball Court, obstacle course, deck lounges.
The model will be interned at the Kai Tak cruise terminal for a period of about two months so if you are in the vicinity during this period, hop over and check it out!
