LEGO 1989 Batwing In The Works?

This is actually a rumour that I came across all the way back in 2016. Four years later, there is still chatter on a LEGO Batwing based on the Tim Burton’s Batman movies.

It will be a D2C (Direct to Consumer) set and it will be in the same vein of the LEGO 1989 Batmobile that was released last year.

There should be some minifigures included in the set and hopefully we’ll get the Joker with the extra long revolver this time round.

There have been a LOT of LEGO Batwing MOCs over the years for LEGO to draw inspiration from so this should be really well designed. I’m sure it will include the same pop up mini-guns along with the missiles launchers that decimated Joker’s parade in the final scene.

It should be a no-brainer to release a scaled up LEGO 1989 Batwing considering that the LEGO 1989 Batmobile (76139) did pretty well (at least for Singapore).

As usual, take everything with a bucket of salt until LEGO actually releases concrete details about this set. I for one will definitely get it as I’m a huge Batman fan.
