Is LEGO VIDIYO Being Cancelled?

We’ve been getting some reports that retailers are not being allowed to order the third wave of LEGO Vidiyo sets as well as given the option of cancelling orders that have already been placed.

Promobricks have also reported this as well which indicates that there might be a possibility that LEGO’s latest venture into augmented entertainment is on its last legs.

To be honest, I’m not completely surprised as the sets never really did catch onto the market and there were significant discounts for the theme almost immediately after the launch.

On top of that, LEGO has yet to officially release the theme in Asia which could have been a way for them to save on some marketing cost if they had already deemed it a flop from the beginning.

Either way, this could be our chance to pick up some of the initial sets for cheap as they do contain some pretty interesting minifigures and unique elements.

This could also be a way for LEGO to consolidate their resources for the theme and relaunch it at a later date so watch this space for more updates!
