We had a peek at the LEGO Poinsettia a couple days ago and now LEGO has officially announced the two holiday themed Botanical Collection sets that will hit the shelves in time for Christmas!
Adding to the Christmas floral displays this year, is an update to the LEGO Christmas Wreath 2-in-1 (40426) in the form of the LEGO Botanical Collection Wreath (10340).
This is essentially a LEGO plant parts parts pack which allows you to essentially build three versions of the wreath.
It can be displayed as a proper wreath or in a garland formation and the wreaths has two distinct looks depending on the season. I’m sure that there will be a lot of ways to mod this for a autumn and add more decorations to fit seasons like Halloween.

LEGO is growing their checklist of popular plants to give the LEGO treatment to and the Poinsettia was just a matter of time.
It is nice to see that they brought back the Large Shuriken Throwing Star (41125) element from the Ninjago sets for this but it does feel a little bit of a cop out as it loses a bit of the LEGO DNA with the smooth curved edges.
The brick built pot looks really good though and I’d expect this to be quite a hit with those are horticulturally challenged.

These sets will be available at the start of October 1st but pre-orders are already available on LEGO.com.
The LEGO Botanical Collection has been quite a success with both AFOLs as well as the casuals and even first time LEGO inductees.
