LEGO Minions The Rise of Gru Coming in 2020!

In a completely surprise move, LEGO has announced through their twitter channel that we will be seeing official LEGO Minions sets on the shelf by the time 2020 rolls around!

This is in conjuncture with the Minions: The Rise of Gru movie that is coming out next July so we should be seeing sets as early as March 2020.

There is very little details on what sets we would be getting but it should be based on the movie. Previously the license to produce brick toys for the Minions franchise belonged to Mattel/Megabloks but it could not be an exclusive one.

I’m open to see what LEGO comes up with but Minions have been around for quite a while already and hopefully this theme doesn’t go the way of LEGO Angry Birds.
