LEGO Harry Potter CMF Series 2 (71028) Random Distribution

As some of you have asked why I haven’t posted anything regarding the box distribution for the LEGO Harry Potter CMF Series 2 (71028) box distribution and the reason being is that it is completely random.

The latest CMF series from LEGO has been selling in some parts of Europe and AFOLs have been quick to purchase a box and the distribution results has been terribly inconsistent.

Our friends over at Promobricks reported that their sealed box had eight copies of Hermoine while yielding zero Ron Weasley minifigures. Brickset tallied up seven Griphooks  but managed to secure three complete sets.

Judging from the initial results, it is not guaranteed that buying a box will net you the full sixteen characters of the series which probably means that hunting for the individual minifigures might be easier.

We’re not sure if this was a packing error with the first batch but I’m sure we’ll be able to get a better idea when these are officially released on September 1st.

  1. Rusty says:

I got 3 full sets and then the 12 remaining had 2 Harrys, 2 Hermiones, Ron, Luna, 2 Grips, Lily, James, Sprout and Neville.

  2. Ian says:

I had the same problem with a case of DC Minifigures. Out of 60 packages I got 11 of The Flash and 8 of Cheetah and ZERO of Batman, Joker and Bat Mite.

  3. Yes Brand new opened box, different plant codes stamped on them, random for sure. LEGO is getting so that they want you to buy more and more to get what you want. Isn’t that called GREED?
