LEGO Avengers Universe Event is now LIVE!
As the Marvel marketing machine is revving up for Infinity War, LEGO is opening the festivities with their LEGO Avengers Universe event to launch their LEGO Marvel Superheroes Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition (76105).
AFOLs from all over the country descended upon Suntec city Mall to queue up and be the first to get their hands on the coveted set.
And as a special bonus, the LEGO Hulkbuster (76105) comes with an exclusive LEGO Iron Man mosaic designed by Singapore’s only LEGO Certified Professional, Nicholas Foo.
You would need to spend a minimum of SGD$250 on LEGO products with one item being the LEGO Marvel Superheroes Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition (76105) to redeem this gift with purchase.
If you are one of the first 200 attendees to redeem the mosaic, you are entitled to a exclusive signed 2×4 reddish brown tile signed by the designer himself.
However, if you are not inclined to spend the full SGD$250, there are a couple of options for you. For every SGD$60 spent on LEGO products you will be able to redeem this LEGO Marvel Superheroes The Guardians Ship (30525) polybag which features a new Milano from Infinity War.
There is also a LEGO Marvel Superheroes Teen Groot (5005244) keychain polybag for the same SGD$60 spent but is only redeemable in the LEGO Certified Stores and not at this pop-up event.
There is also a building activity that is free for your child to join when you spend a minimum of SGD$80 anywhere in the mall. All you need to do is turn up at the booth with your receipt and your kid will be able to create to his/her hearts desire AND take home their creation.
A side contest gives you a chance to win a LEGO Marvel Superheroes Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition (76105) if you guess the number of bricks that makes up this 2.5m tall LEGO Hulk statue. Here is a hint: it is more than 200,000 bricks!
Update: The Hulk is finally completed as it was still under construction at the time of posting.
This was a pretty cool event to begin the Infinity Wars festivities considering the history LEGO and Marvel have had since 2012 when the first Avengers movie came out.
Update: There have been some reports that the design of the Iron Man Mosaic has actually been released before according to this Carousell post. The seller claims it was designed by Nicholas Foo previously as a gift. For what it is worth, even if this mosaic has been released before, it is still a very worth while gift with purchase. It has 2304 pcs and it would definitely cost more than SGD$250 to bricklink the pieces.
