The Mos Eisley Cantina set has seen its fair share of leaks over the past couple of weeks from LEGO Korea posting our very first look on their Facebook page to crafty AFOLs trawling Fan Media sites for cached images.

Either way I’m still super excited to officially announce LEGO’s scummiest and villainous watering hole, the LEGO Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina (75290)!

Yes, the infamous Mos Eisley Cantina has it’s fair share of iterations over the years but nothing like this outing with this much details and easter eggs packed in. There is now a the break-away feature that allows you to interact with the interior.

It clocks in a 3,187 pcs that will allow you to construct the Cantina in all it’s scum and villainy along with two landspeeders (Ubrikkian 9000 Z001 and the Sorosuub V-35) and a Dewback animal figure.

One of the major highlights of this set are the minifigures included. There will be a whopping twenty-one minifigures to decorate your diorama with and a handful of them are making their first appearances.

The list are as follows (apologies in advance as I might not be 100% correct on the exact names):

  • Momaw Nadon
  • Kabe
  • Dr. Evazan
  • Greedo
  • Kardue’sai’Malloc
  • Ponda Baba
  • Wuher
  • Modal Nodes Cantina Band Bith x3
  • R2-D2
  • C-3PO
  • Han Solo
  • Chewbacca
  • Luke Skywalker
  • Obi-wan Kenobi
  • Desert Trooper x2
  • Garindan
  • Jawa
  • Saurin

I’m sure that if you had the previous versions of Mos Eisley Cantina that they would be able to add to the diorama to expand it to Mos Eisley spaceport.

“The first time I watched the Cantina scene in Star Wars: A New Hope, I was just 12 years old. I remember thinking, ‘this is where the adventure starts!’ Years later, when I then became a LEGO® Star Wars ™ designer in 2016, this was the first set I built. With this design, we’ve added external buildings like the Jawa shop, refined the details, and chosen an impressive 21 minifigure characters, including all-new alien figures. I love that all Star Wars characters have cool backstories, no matter how briefly they appear, it wasn’t easy to decide which characters to include in the set, but we hope fans will love the entire model and its line-up of heroes and villains.”

There is a huge variety of LEGO® Star Wars™ building sets available to delight fans including the LEGO Star Wars Luke’s Landspeeder helping you reimagine your favourite Star Wars A New Hope scenes, or  create their own epic stories or just build and display the awesome models, such as the TIE Fighter Pilot HELMET™ and A-Wing Starfighter™.
